Who we are

StompSpot is an online listings and booking platform. Events are run by independent organisers, not by StompSpot. Your contract for an event is with its organiser.

Bookings and payment

When you book, the organiser agrees to admit you on presentation of a valid ticket. For card bookings, payment is taken by our payment provider Stripe on behalf of the organiser, who is the seller. For pay-on-the-door bookings, you pay the organiser directly at the event.

Any booking fee shown at checkout is charged by StompSpot for running the service and is not refundable, except where the organiser cancels the event, when you get everything back. Otherwise organisers set their own refund policies; ask the organiser if you can't attend.

Organisers

Organisers must provide accurate event information, hold any licences, insurance and permissions their events need, honour bookings made through StompSpot, and handle attendee data in line with UK data protection law.

Community rules

StompSpot lets people post, comment, review and add dances. When you do, you agree not to post anything that is illegal, bullying, hateful, sexual, threatening, misleading, spam, or that copies someone else's work (for example whole step sheets — link to them on CopperKnob instead). Organisers who connect their social media accounts are responsible for what's imported from them.

Reviews must be honest and based on events you attended.

Reporting and how we moderate

Every post, comment, review and event has a Report link. We review reports as quickly as we can, prioritising anything involving a child's safety or illegal content. We may remove content, and we may stop an account posting or close it, if it breaks these rules. We'll tell you if we remove your content or restrict your account.

If you think we got it wrong, contact us through the Contact page and we'll look again. You may also have the right to bring a claim for breach of contract if we remove your content or restrict your account in breach of these terms.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.

Accounts

Keep your password safe. We may suspend accounts that misuse the platform.

Liability

We are not responsible for the running of events, but nothing in these terms limits rights you have under UK consumer law.
