About StompSpot
Line dance events across the UK
StompSpot is the home of line dancing: find a class or a social near you, book in seconds, request dances on the night, and see what the country is dancing this week.
It's built with and for the instructors and organisers who keep the scene alive.
For dancers
Search by town or postcode, filter by date and event type, and see what's on around you on a map. Save favourites, follow your favourite instructors, and keep all your tickets in one account. After an event you can leave a review to help other dancers.
The Booth: live dance requests 🎛️
Put a QR code on the wall at your class or social. Dancers scan it with their phone camera (no app, no sign-up), search for a dance by name, request it and vote for others. You see the live queue on the DJ screen, press play, and the music video or your own music file plays. Put the display on a projector or TV: it shows what's dancing now, what's next, the top requests and the QR code. Afterwards, export the setlist for your PRS for Music and PPL returns. Organisers find it under Organiser hub → The Booth.
For organisers
List your classes and events free. Sell tickets by card or take cash on the door, run the register, keep a waiting list, and put a request QR on the wall so dancers choose the night's dances with you.
Create a free profile page, then list as many events as you like. Each event can have several ticket types (standard, beginner, day ticket, camping…), its own capacity, sales windows and a booking deadline. Bookings arrive with QR tickets that you can scan at the door with your phone camera, and you can download your attendee list any time.
New organiser profiles are checked by our team before they go live, to keep listings genuine.
Booking and payment
Depending on the organiser, you either pay by card when you book — securely through Stripe, with the money going straight to the organiser — or reserve free and pay on the door. Either way your QR tickets live in your account.
